1. In my book, Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Bruno is moving into his new house that he does not want to be in.  Bruno has a maid named Maria who is helping him pack his belongings. This takes place in Berlin, Germany at the beginning of World War II.  Bruno's family is made up of his mother, father and sister. Gretel.

2.  This book I can already tell is going to be interestng. However, I know this book is going to become suspensful, and scary because I know this book is about the Holocaust. Bruno is moving into another part of the city, away from his childhood home.  The author is pulling me in because I want to know more about what happened to people who were alive during WWII.
3.  I have not seen a theme so far, because I am still at the start of this book.  But, I feel I  will be able to discover  the theme soon because I  know a lot already about the book and the time period. 

4.  My favorite charachter so far, is Bruno, because he is the only character I have really gotten to know.  He does not get along his sister very well.  Bruno is also a rule breaker, in chapter 1, he slides down the bannister of the stairs when he is not supposed to.  He is also very curious about what is going on around him and the move.  In his new house he is unhappy because it is dirty, and there are a lot fewer people unlike his old town.

5.  So far, I do not have a character I dislike.  This is  beacuse I have only been introduced to Bruno and his family and they seem like nice people. 

6.  This is a historical fiction novel about the Holocaust, so I believe Bruno and his family are going to be placed in a concentration camp. He has already moved to what I think might be a ghetto and I know from history, that the next step is concentration camps.
