1. This story starts out in Germany around 1943 with a teenager named Franz that wishes to one day be a fighter pilot for the german army. Every day Franz would go down to the run ways to watch the pilots take off and do drills and imagines himself up there. Which soon he is actually able to be apart of it and starts out as a young pilot training to be one of the best. On the other side of the world was another boy in America named Charlie that had always dreamed of being an American pilot for the air force. He also eventually makes it to the age of enrolling in the military and tries out to be a pilot. These two young pilots are starting to become both very good at piloting and are almost ready to join the fight. This fight how ever is world war two which was a very dangerous and terrible war which was America versus Germany.

2. I think so far in this book it is getting very exciting and I am reading this constantly. It is because of the fact that one is because I love planes and piloting myself so when they talk about the different kinds of aircrafts back then it is very intriguing. Also because it is getting suspenseful and I feel like I know what is going to happen next that I just keep reading to find out more and more about the book. I really also think the book is good because of the authors style of writhing and how it switches from one side of the story to the other as in the Americans to the Germans.

3. So far in the book I think the theme is dreams can come true because of the two dreams that the main characters shared about being pilots. This started from the very begging of the book when the German talked about going the army and watching them fly. Also how the American had the same exact dream except for his country. I think this dream will also carry out thought this book and stay with these characters as well as some others maybe.

4.My favorite character in the book is Charlie so far and he is the American pilot in this story. To me he seems very passionate as to what he wants to do as well as determined because he started as a kid to accomplish this dream and he was able to do just that. He also works very hard at training to be the best at his job as a pilot and I think he is doing just that.

5. My least favorite character would be Franz because yes even though him and Charlie both had the same dreams. I feel that Charlie seemed to work harder at it instead of Franz because he didn't really work that hard at getting there. Also he seems like a show off like he won't take his truing all that seriously and he takes to much risk all the time.

6. I so far have predicted that later in the book Franz and Charlie will be brought into battle. At the same time and actually meet up some how and battle it out in a dogfight with planes. I can't really tell who would exactly win the fight and if one would not survive. But I believe this one because they are the main characters but also because they have worked so hard to be the best so that would make an epic show down the best against the best.
