1) Right now I'm reading the book Fat Kid Rules The World, by K. L. Going, So far In the book We meet a Kid named Troy Billings who is a 296 pound seventeen year old kid. He lives with his x marine Father and has a bother that is very mean to him since he is fat. Also his father feels that he messed up since his son is fat. One day when Troy was that the train station, thinking of committing suicide because of his weigh, he met a men named Curt Maccrea who dropped out of high school and became a rock star at this place called the Dump. Curt and Troy become good friends, who want to play together in a band. Troy would learn to play the drums and curt would play the guitar. Curt would go to Troys school and try to help Troy get out of school to go to practice at the Dump. Also, Curt gets this guy from this band called Smack Metal Puppets which Troy loves to listen to and the guy helps Troy learn how to play, but during the first practice Troy starts to panic and thinks to himself that he cant do this, he wont be able to play the drums. When Troy leaves the Dump and goes home since school was over he comes home to find a drum set in his room. His father Had bought him a drum set hopping that this could change Troy's life.

2) I find the book to be okay because in some parts of the book its really weird. Like when Troy was thinking of committing suicide I wasn't very comfortable with that thought he had. The plot of the book is good but is easy to predict what happens next in the book. A character that really stands out to me would probably have to be Curt because i find him to be a very nice person. I say this because in the book Curt helps Troy think good about himself and makes Troy feel like someone cares about him. The author is some times able to pull me into the book but not always when like when, Troy goes looking for curt at his step dad's apartment and ends up being threaten and leaving. I didn't find that part to be real good.

3) A main theme I see in this book is redemption. I think this because before troy met Curt, life just got worst and worst and worst when Troy started getting heavier. That's when he started loosing all friends and his bother started becoming meaner and meaner and his father started giving up on him. Now that Curt is friends with Troy, Troy's life has gotten better, now people are starting to notice Troy. Also Troy is doing something with his life by playing in the band and being more active. Also his father sees this and got him that drum set.

4) My favorite character in this book would have to be probably Curt. I think this because through out the whole book Curt never gives up on Troy. He makes troy feel good about himself and lets Troy know he has a friend. Also, I find him to be an interesting character since he acts every energetic, like when Troy and him were going to go out for lunch Curt was running around Troy and wasn't standing still for even a second.

5) My least favorite character would most likely be Troy's bother, Dayle. The reason he's my least favorite character is because he thinks his bother is an embarrassment to him. That's why he never talks to him at home and at school. The reason I dislike him the most is because he is very mean to his bother Troy. Dayle is always telling Troy that no one likes him and he should go kill himself. I hate reading that because no one should act like this especially a bother.

6) I Think that Troy is going to play at the Dump with Curt and that Dayle will be nicer to troy. I think this because after Troy's Dad buys him a drum set Troy see that his dad wants him to go through this this because he wants to be a good dad. Also Troy tells Curt that he would like to continue with all the lessons. Lastly The reason why I think Dayle will be nicer is because when Troy was going to the Dump Dayle was very surprise about this and I think it showed that Troy was cool.
