1. Right now after Jacob killed Golan the kids they spot the bird cage floating in the water. The kids rush out to save it. Soon they loose track of it. Emma and Jacob are exhausted. Suddenly they spot the cage just under the water on another shipwreck. Then the U-boat rises up above the water and picks up Emma, Jacob and the cage with them. On the boat there's a wight with this huge gun. The wight starts shooting at them. Emma is about to get the cage but then Jacob tackles her off the boat afraid that she was going to get shot. The wight starts shooting at them in the water. Emma spots Miss Peregrine and swims to get her even though the ship is starting to sink and suck them down. They eventually save her and bring her to shore. They dry her off and later wait until she changes back to a human but she doesn't! They assume that they will have to wait a week or more until she recovers until she can change back.
2. I really like this book right now! It's really interesting and exciting! I just can't wait to finish it, I'm always on the edge of my chair. All the little details from the book are all pulling into this climax and making it really thrilling. I've gotten really close to all of the characters so I almost feel part of this story. Rick Ranson is pulling me through the story and I guess almost reads my emotions or reactions and makes the shocking even more surprising. Ranson also has these exotic ideas but makes them make sense. If you tried to summarize this book it would sound silly and complex but you really have to read everything for it to make sense. This book is one of my favorites of all time.
3. One of the many themes in this novel is dangers of ignorance. One of the first big events in the book is when Jacob's grandfather dies. Jacob sees this monster at first but then later thinks he had gone crazy. Later in the book you find out that the monster he saw was a wight and could have easily killed Jacob as well. Jacob also finds out that he has the power to see these monster and which most people can't. Another place this theme pops up in is when Jacob doesn't realize that Golan is a wight and he was his psychiatrist, and many other people that evolved around his life. Jacob could have been really hurt if Golan turned on him earlier in the book. If Abe told Jacob about everything before I thought it could have took Jacob out of a lot of danger.
4. My favorite character is Emma because she's really nice and kind. She has changed a lot more since my last blog. She has proven to everyone that she's not just some girl but a strong, brave, courageous one. Emma is definitely one of the strongest (personally wise) people in this book besides from Jacob. She can also be very helpful to others in times of need. Like when Millard got shot. Emma took care of him and bandaged him up. Emma has also taught me that in scary situations it's ok to be scared but don't let it hold you back.
5. My least favorite character is still Jacob's dad. When Jacob decides to leave his family he goes to their "hotel room" with his friends. When Jacob first walks in the room Jacob's dad yells at him saying that all of his friends are imaginary and that he should pack his bags to go back home. He really doesn't trust Jacob and just assumes that he's crazy. Also when Jacob tells him that he's leaving forever he just dismisses it and sits back down and takes a nap. Jacob's dad could have done it because he thought he was crazy but still even if you heard the slightest hint that your child is going to leave you forever you should do something about it.
6. I have almost no clue about what's about to happen but I can guess. I think Miss Peregrine is not going to change back and they find out that the bird they think is Miss Peregrine is a regular bird. Then I bet they will find Miss Peregrine and Miss Avocate with the wights trying to go into the future. I think the kids will defeat all of the monsters and then never return a loop. I think the kids will live together but they will live when time's going forward. This is just a crazy guess and I know that it's probably never going to happen because this book is so unpredictable.
Hey Cloe
ReplyDeleteI thought that this looks like a really good book to read, I also thought that you did a very good job on describing the book. Even though I haven't read the book it sounds to me like a good one. The girl Emma seems to be a cool character,
from what you have told me about her. Jacobs dad dose not strike me as a very nice person at all. This book sounds very unpredictable but good. You did great on this blog and I will find time to try and read this book!
Hi Cloe,
ReplyDeleteI thought you had a very clear description of the book. You also did a really good job saying why characters are your favorite or least favorite characters. I have not read this book so I don't agree or disagree with anything you said but I will read it and find out. I would love to read this book. Emma seems very admirable and it seems like she is a really good character. I would like to find out what happened to Jacob's dad to make him that way. I agree with Hannah that this sounds like an unpredictable book. Great job with your post, I will be sure to read this book.
