1.  This is about big wave surfing in California at Mavericks. The contest has very skilled sufers that get paid to surf by sponsors. The Mavericks surf competition is considered the super bowl of the surfing world. It is considered this because you need to work very hard to get there. In this book there are stories about surfers. For example one of the stories was about a surfer whos name was chris and how he had to make three conecting unresearved planes to LA so he could make the biggest competition of his life.
 
2. So far i feel very good about the book and i am looking forward to reading on. This book is very interesting and a just right read. I have found throughout the book there are no parts where you need to undersrtand surfing to understand that part. The book issent suppost to be suspenceful but it is, for example when somebody is riding a wave and they are about to fall off but they catch themselfs. This is the only book i have read where i do not know what is going on around me because i am so into the book.

3. I dont think i am far enough in the book to figure out what the theme of the book is. If i had to take a guess i would say "hard work pays off". I think "hard work pays off" is the theme because the surfers work really hard training to become what they are. The sufers in this book make it look easy to ride 40 foot wave easy but its not, there populatiry wasent handed to them, they had to work for it.

4. My favorite character in the book it aaaaaa. He is my favorite character because when he gets into a bad situation he does not get worried he just fixes the problem. One part where he really shows this is when the air port lost his surf board so he just whent to a local surfer who helped him make his own surf board.

5. I dont have a least favorite character. I dont have a least favorite character because i am not that far in the book and because it isent the kind of book where you will have a favorite character.

6. I am predicting that there will be more stories and charecters introduced from where i am now and untill the end of the book. I also predict that people will attempt to surf the "voodoo" wave and ether get killed or become very well known. recently when i was reading the book people were talking about how when the mon it full and the humitity and heat are high that there are big waves. And people said soon that is all going to happen but the temp and humitity is going to be very high.
